We are a family owned restaurant that serve traditional and authentic Nepalese cuisine. Our family originate from the capital of Nepal, Kathmandu City, which is in the Bagmati Province and the most populated city in Nepal.

When our family first arrived in the UK in 2004 we noticed that there were lots of south Asian restaurants in the area which lacked authenticity and there were none specifically serving Nepalese food. We wanted to showcase a true representation of our country's food to the people of East Sussex, so Gurkha Chef was born in 2006.

We love what we do and over the last 15 years we have worked extremely hard to create a restaurant that is recognised in our community as one of the top eats in the area, which makes us very happy.
